last sat, i attended the very first homeowners association of the condo residences chorva where i live. maraming issues at controversies sa meeting na nauwi sa mga angsty people grabbing the mic and airing their (unnecessary) views. naturally, some views were negative, some were asking for unity from all, and some were just plain non sequitur. i swear, each of them deserves their own blog entry. saka na lang pag may energies na ko heheh.
but the most striking quote from that batch was from this dude who was trying to appease the overheated argumentative crowd.
back story: there was supposed to be an election that day of a new set of association officers. but that was met with a lotta flak. kaya ang dami who spoke their minds about the process.
at ito na nga ang tumataginting na winona sa quote:
noel (brimming, mega-all whites seen with perma-smile): um, hi! ako po si noel. unit owner po ako dito, pero di ako nakatira. napapadaan-daan lang po... ah, gusto ko lang sanang sabihin na... sana, magkakilanlan pa ang isa't isa dito, na makakatulong sa pagbobotohan natin ng susunod na board members. maaari po nating simulan sa pamamagitan ng pagkausap sa mga katabi natin. so ang gusto ko pong gawin niyo, humarap kayo, sige po, humarap kayo sa katabi niyo, at sabihin niyo sa kanya na "mahal ka ni hesus."
REACTION SHOT KO: humarap ako sa nanay ko na kasama ko sa meeting, niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit, and i buried my face in her shoulderblades...to keep me from bursting into uncontrollable laughter and blurting out WADAPAK!!!!!
sana huwag ko siya makasakay sa elevator noh, at ngingitian niya ko ng weird gollum-my-preciousssss type of smile niya, at sabihing mahal ako ni chorvah. potah. hm, ano kaya gagawin ko pag nangyari iyon? himatayin kaya siya if i raise my shirt and ipa-hello ko ang left boob ko, sabay sabi ng "pero mas mahal ko ito" or something wittier (or more wicked, or more heretic).
